Two Kansas men were arrested on Mar. 2 on charges related to supporting Russia. The charges, which include conspiracy, exporting controlled goods without a license, falsifying and failing to file electronic export information, and smuggling goods, carry a penalty of up to 35 years in prison. The two men, Cyril Gregory Buyanovsky and Douglas Robertson, own KanRus Trading Co. which "specializes in civil aircraft solutions for Russia & CIS countries" according to their website. The indictment states the two men have been "conspiring to evade U.S. export laws" since 2020. The FBI will be investigating.
