Instrument

To earn your Instrument Rating, you must log a minimum of 50 PIC cross-country flight hours. You must also have a minimum of 40 hours of simulated or actual instrument time, 15 of which must come from an authorized instructor. 20 hours of training in our RedBird AATD Simulator counts towards your Instrument rating. Cessna 172: 45 Hours - $7,875

Flight Instruction: 45 Hours - $2,925

Redbird AATD: 20 Hours - $1,500

Ground/Simulator Instruction: 50 Hours - $3,250

Written Exam & Check Ride: $925

Commercial

To earn your Commercial License, you must log a minimum of 250 total flight hours, 100 of which must be as Pilot-In-Command. You are also required to accumulate 50 cross-country hours, as well as 10 hours in a Technically Advanced Aircraft, Complex Aircraft, or a Turbine-powered Airplane. 50 hours of training in our RedBird AATD Simulator counts towards your Commercial license. Complete requirement details can be found here - CFR 61.129

Total costs can be significantly reduced by time-sharing with other Commercial students.
